Becky enjoys all aspects of the veterinary industry and is very eager to tackle any task given to her.
Her weaknesses are Golden Retreivers as she has one herself named Ned.
Cassio - Veterinary Nurse
Cassio joined the VetMD team in 2019. Born and raised in Brazil, he grew up on a farm with many animals including sheep, ant eaters, armadillos and monkeys. Growing up surrounded by so many critters gave Cassio an interest in helping animals from a very young age, however unfortunately it was not possible for him to pursue the career in Brazil.
Cassio relocated to Auckland, New Zealand where he lived for 10 years and finally went on to studying veterinary nursing in 2016. In 2019 Cassio moved to Brisbane and joined the VetMD nursing team.
Cassio has a special interest in surgery and is very eager to learn more about exotics pets and Australian wildlife. During his spare time he can be found hanging out with his cat Loki, or exploring Australia's beautiful beaches and bush land.
Jackie Pressland - Veterinary Assistant
Nurse Jackie first started at VetMD in 2016 as a trainee nurse and has been with the team ever since.
She decided to pursue a career in veterinary nursing to help animals who don’t have a voice of their own.
Even before veterinary nursing Jackie had a strong desire to help those in need, working as a teacher's aide for children with special needs and assisted with nursing in aged care facilities.
Jackie is one of our main surgical nurses and is often found in the treatment room treating hospital patients and preparing patients for surgical procedures. When not in the treatment room, you can find Jackie teaching our Puppy Preschool classes, wrangling our cranky cat/dog patients or being our resident guinea pig feeder.
Outside of work Jackie loves spending her time with family and her 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses & 25 birds (including Chickens, Indian Ringnecks, Lorrikeets & an Alexandrian).
Ashli - Administrator
Ashli first started working in the veterinary industry in 2012 at VetMD's sister clinic before joining the VetMD team when our doors first opened. She has a strong bond with our patients and clients and believes in providing nothing but the highest quality care and support for them.
Ashli loves all animals great and small but has a soft spot for dogs and guinea pigs. She especially loves Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as she has one of her own named Hazel.
Next time you pop into the clinic remember to say hi to Ashli as she would love to give your pet a well deserved cuddle and treat.
