Our team consists of 6 experienced vets and 6 skilled nurses, all committed to offering gold-standard care for furry, feathered, and scaly friends. Led by Dr. Liam Flanagan, who holds memberships in Avian Health and Unusual Pets, our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, iM3 dental machine, and in-house IDEXX lab equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting our veterinarians with routine exams and procedures

  • Providing surgical and hospital nursing care, including anaesthetic monitoring

  • Delivering pre- and post-operative patient care, as well as offering grief support to clients

  • Administering medications and preparing treatments as required

  • Managing the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patients

  • Communicating treatment plans and updates to clients

  • Performing blood collection, testing, and IV catheter placement

  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds)

  • Supporting dental care, including scale and polish and performing dental x-rays

  • Contributing to day-to-day nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient care

What we are looking for:

  • Experience as an exotics vet nurse advantageous but not essential
  • Certificate IV or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience

  • Some Saturday shifts required
  • EzyVet experience preferred, but not essential

  • Good sense of urgency, attention to detail and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure

  • A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude towards pet owners

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail
