Cassio joined the VetMD team in 2019. Born and raised in Brazil, he grew up on a farm with many animals including sheep, ant eaters, armadillos and monkeys. Growing up surrounded by so many critters gave Cassio an interest in helping animals from a very young age, however unfortunately it was not possible for him to pursue the career in Brazil.

Cassio relocated to Auckland, New Zealand where he lived for 10 years and finally went on to studying veterinary nursing in 2016. In 2019 Cassio moved to Brisbane and joined the VetMD nursing team.

Cassio has a special interest in surgery and is very eager to learn more about exotics pets and Australian wildlife. During his spare time he can be found hanging out with his cat Loki, or exploring Australia’s beautiful beaches and bush land.
